FEATURES
Pilsener Malt is made of finest two row spring barley grown in the most prominent regions such as Germany, France, Denmark and England.
CHARACTERISTICS
The lightest in color, this malt is well-modified and is perfectly suited for single-step infusion or for decoction mashing. Our Pilsen malt carries a strong, sweet malt flavor and contains enough enzymatic power to be used as base malt.
USAGE
The varieties in use are approved and well established in the country of origin. Pilsener Malt can be used up to 100% for brewing pale beers like Pilsener Type, Helles, Koelsch and it acts as a basis for all other types.
STORAGE & SHELF LIFE
Malt should be stored in a clean, cool (~ 22 °C) and dry (~ 35 RH %) area. If these conditions are observed, we recommend to use all whole kernel products within 18 – 24 months from the date of manufacture and all milled products within 3 months.
